11th Annual Sea To Sky

11th Annual Sea to Sky

Come join us for the 11th annual Sea to Sky drive on Sep 28th 2024. We have always have it on national public lands day, so there are no fees to go into the parks. For those of you who have not explored the North Olympic Peninsula you are in for a treat. And for those who have, they will tell you that this is a majestic tour through the back roads. We will travel from sea level through the Dungeness valley the coast line and farm land to a mile high at Hurricane Ridge and the majestic Lake Crescent, there are so many things to see here. Over the last 9 years there have been construction and road closers, just meant we changed the route! We try not to travel the same path but we are limited on roads but I will assure you will enjoy.

We will meet at 9:00 AM in the parking lot at the Sequim QFC. Drivers meeting at 9:15 leave at 9:30

.

After a short drivers meeting we will travel through the pristine Dungeness valley, making a rest stop at Dungeness Landing County park. then along the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the Salt Creek Recreation Area where we will have a picnic lunch. There are no stores or restaurants at Salt Creek, so be sure to pack your lunch. For those heating their lunch on their engine, be sure to put on there early to insure proper heating.
You may want to bring a chair along.

Then we will travel south through more scenic and curvy roads into the mountains to Hurricane Ridge, this is a free day for the national parks.

For those of you who like hiking there is Hurricane hill a medium length hike with breathtaking views or other shorter hikes. Or if you would like we can continue and travel back down and explore the east side of Port Angeles.

Come and enjoy this day with us or stay for the weekend and see what else the Peninsula has to offer for a great get away!
