8th Annual Sea To Sky

8th Annual Sea to Sky

It is that time of year to explore the North Olympic Peninsula.

This year we have a lot of fun roads to travel on, beautiful scenery; if we are lucky we may see an eagle or two, and usually lots of wildlife.

We will  meet at 9:00 AM in the parking lot at the Sequim QFC

.

After a short drivers meeting we will travel through the pristine Dungeness valley, making a rest stop at Dungeness Landing County park. then along the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the Salt Creek Recreation Area where we will have a picnic lunch. There are no stores or restaurants at Salt Creek, so be sure to pack your lunch. For those heating their lunch on their engine, be sure to put on there early to insure proper heating.
The covered area we have been using is closed this year so you may want to bring a chair along.

Then we will travel south through more scenic and curvy roads into the mountains to Hurricane Ridge, this is a free day for the national parks.

For those of you who like hiking there is Hurricane hill a medium length hike with breathtaking views or other shorter hikes.

Or if you would like we can continue and travel back down and explore the east side of Port Angeles.

Come and enjoy this day with us or stay for the weekend and see what else the Peninsula has to offer for a great get away!
