Tour of the Lakes The Germans would call it Besichtigung der Seen. The French would say visite des lacs. We just say, "Let's go for a drive and see five local lakes!" Meet at 10 AM in the parking lot just north of Fueled Coffee (12303 E Grace Ave, Spokane Valley, WA 99216) - park at the South end of the business park lot near the coffee stand. We will have a quick driver's meeting at 10:30 AM and then head out. Part One - 90 minutes/50 miles: After a short highway jaunt we'll drive around Newman Lake then cross into Idaho and cruise past Hauser Lake. We'll pass through Post Falls, ID and follow the local favorite twisty Riverview Drive back into Washington. There will be a short 0.4 mile section of gravel road (we'll take it slow) before we reach Pavilion Park in Liberty Lake. We should be there around noon for your enjoyment of your brown bag lunch. Part Two: 30 minutes/15 miles After about 30 minutes for lunch we'll depart for the second portion of our lake tour. First is Liberty Lake then we'll admire a scenic overlook of Saltese Lake. Last, a brief view of Shelley Lake and a short parade down Sprague Avenue to Amy's Donuts. They have a great SPOKANE mural for photos. Donut purchasing is optional! Link to Google Map
